La Casa del Mercante Veneziano
Our structure is located in the Castello district, in the heart of the city, one of the last places still considered as residential in all of Venice.
The location allows you to be slightly outside the tourist chaos of the city center but at the same time to be able to reach every place of interest with minimum effort.
In fact, with a walk of just 10 minutes, you will comfortably arrive in Piazza San Marco, enjoying the splendid panorama offered by the church of the Madonna della Salute which stands out over the lagoon.
Similarly, just a two-minute walk from our facility you can find:
The Arsenale vaporetto stop, which allows you to move comfortably around the city.
The Historical Naval Museum and the triumphal anchors positioned next to its doors.
One of the two main entrances to the Biennale, the headquarters of the Arsenale.
Furthermore, if you are interested in the second exhibition space of the Venice Biennale, the headquarters of the Giardini, you can always find it after a 10-minute walk in the opposite direction from San Marco.
How to reach us
By train
From the Venezia Santa Lucia stop, head to the "Ferrovia" vaporetto stop, from there you have two options:
- Take the Line 1 vaporetto in the direction of San Marco/Lido . The rides are every 12 minutes but the journey takes about an hour.
- Take line 4.1 , towards Giudecca. Rides are every 20 minutes, but the journey is shorter (about 25 minutes)
In both cases you will have to get off at the "Arsenale" stop . From there, cross the bridge on your right and head towards the wooded area.
From the airport
From Venice Marco Polo airport
- By water . From the airport dock you can choose whether to use the water taxi service which can take you directly in front of our structure, or the Alilaguna shuttle service. The blue line , will take you to the Arsenale stop.
- By land Take the shuttle bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma , the city's bus terminal. From there, as from the railway, you can take vaporetto line 1, towards San Marco/Lido or line 4.1 towards Giudecca and get off at the Arsenale stop.
From Treviso Canova airport
- Take the shuttle bus from the airport to the terminus, Piazzale Roma , from here take the vaporetto line 1 or 4.1 as previously indicated.
Useful information
- Check-in is expected between 14:00 and 20:00 . After these time, subject to our confirmation, it is possible to arrive by 24:00 with a €40 late check-in supplement .
- Check-out must be done by 11:00 .
- Depending on availability, it is possible to check-in early or temporarily store your luggage in case of departures in the afternoon.
- As a tourist rental, by law, we cannot serve breakfast and carry out daily cleaning . You can still buy and eat breakfast, using the tableware provided in each room.
